paint what moves me, whether it's the vibrant colors
of a flower bed that I photographed on my journeys
or the view out of my Portland home during fall
foliage; it inspires me, so I paint! Looking at
the paintings exhibited on this page there are very
few that did not start with a photograph that I
took and a few are imaginary places that an artist
