In
2008 Wet Paint! Studio news, I have been working
in a constant flow of commissions since mid-2007
which include Cats, Dogs & Cars. It's been
an enlightening experience & has challenged
me to think even further outside the box, bringing
my work to a whole new level. I have been working
in both Oil & Acrylic, on Canvas & Linen,
really BIG and very small. Many times I meet the
pet or see the car (if possible) to get a feel
for it's personality. Word of mouth has been my
greatest form of advertising. My latest work is
now featured on this website.
Whats
new? I have introduced a flowing figures series
into my montage of artwork, these can be found
under Figures and Mixed
Palette pages. I have also started a series
of "dog & cat mug shots" to build
up my inventory in preparation for a fall Pet
Show. Not to be missed, a new series of Swathed
Babies with small faces peaceful and sleeping.
In
addition to the new art work added on the site,
I joined an artists Co-op in Portland called SKG,
and its been really amazing to watch our
efforts grow. Each member is responsible for some
portion of the running of the gallery, and my
forte is marketing. Each month since our opening
in August, we have evolved. Its just great,
and it is truly Not just another Portland
Art Gallery.
I have added a Pay Now button through Pay Pal,
this is located on the Full
Gallery page. This is a spot where I can guide
art customers who want to pay for commissions,
cards or paintings by credit card. How does it
work? You call or email me and let me know what
you are ordering, then click on the secure link
via the button that says "Pay Now".
Once there, you enter your purchase in the description
field, the price, and your secure credit card
information. It is not necessary to have a Pay
Pal account to process your card. I then confirm
payment and delivery arrangements.
New
dog, cat and car note cards are also coming off
the press in late 2008 and early 2009, and will
be for sale. These will feature some of my latest
work plus a few old favorites that I continue
to market. Keep an eye on my card
page for updates in the near future.
I
am hoping to spend more time painting & concentrating
on a few quality shows this year. Watch for updates
for where to find my art on my current
show page.
In
Lollipop Art Productions news, I am still amazed
at the talent I am finding to decorate the walls
of the two art spaces I manage. It keeps getting
better and better, and guess what - it's selling.
